I thought i would put up some pics of my boler. I have watched many on here create amazing trailers and give me lots of tips and inspiration to reno mine.

Here is a few pics of the inside for those who have never seen the inside of 17'
My interior was mostly plywood/particle board. Very heavy compared to 13' cabinets

I started to replace on cabinet beside the bathroom/tub section to add a full size fridge for my growing family
I'm not sure if its the same in other 17' trailers but I notice there was a design flaw with the vents for the fridge.

AS you can see, the upper vent for fridge allows water to enter the trailer. I found out the entire floor was rotten and had some mold. So I thought i would replace the floor in that section. As I took it apart I notice too much of the floor was too far gone to keep. So i decided to gut the entire trailer

I replace the entire subfloor and put down new laminate floor instead of hardwood to keep the weight down. also easy to care

Started to rebuild the cabinets. I wanted to have the bunks at the front of the trailer with a steps to the top for my boys. I used an old bed frame. the upper bunk can be removed without any tools. it just hooks in place with a u-shape bracket

More pics. added some drawers under the bunk and made cabinets at the back with a table that will lower for a bed

Off to get the propane check. Ran the lines and did the hook up myself but thought it was worth $100 to get it checked for leaks

17ft Boler

Great Job! I have a 17 ' Boiler as well. The floor had been carpeted by the previous owner and this year I hope to get it replaced with either bamboo flooring or laminate, whichever is lightest in weight. The closet rail is going to be replaced with shelves.

I totally agree that getting the propane checked by a professional is well worth the money.

Next year I am going to go with your full size fridge plan plus I have learned enough about solar to start planning for that.

Again, hard work, great job.

Nice Work.

Always thought I's like to see a fully reno'd 17ft. Keep up the awesome work. I'm in the middle of a 13ft reno but it's the little details that are taking all the time now.

Linda, the only thing i can suggest for the fridge is measure twice. I made the mistake and had to cut the trailer about 1" on each side of the door to get it in.

Propane past without anything problems. only thing i told i needed was a cover for the regulator on the front of the trailer and the copper under the trailer should have Black Wire Wrap to protect it

Do you recall how much farther you had to build the cabinet out to fit the fridge than what was there to begin with?

Hi Tim, I had to make the fridge cabinet 5" deeper. it all depends on the fridge height. If you do it, the fridge top will hit first because of the curve on the trailer

Hi Andrew, I was kind of hoping that if I took out the top cubby hole and the bottom drawer it would give me enough room for a unit with top freezer and bottom fridge. Going to have to rethink I guess.

I guess it would depends on the height of the fridge your choose. The one i installed is about 54" high. it sits on a piece 3/4" plywood right on the wheel well. also check the venting requirements. each fridge is different.
