Greeting
Fiberglass RV friends,
So I have been mainly cleaning my
Surfside since getting it late last
fall. Money is tight but I am funnelling what I can to the RV! I just bought some fancy new
tires to replace the impressively intact but non-trustworthy '88's. Now I can tow it places to get experienced eyeballs on it. But first, I thought I'd reference the experienced eyeballs here.
My concern: There is a 'dip' in the floor towards the front. Right about where the closet ends, just before the door line.
Is this dip:
(1) Due to a frame tweak? There are no visible cracks in frame, but this doesn't mean they're not there...
(2) Due to rotten floor supports under the wood/fibreglass floor panel? The floor is currently dry, but has been wet. Doesn't feel soggy. Hard to peek under.
(3) Due to some seriously creative door hinge installation and/or past issues with door hinges. And one or both of above.
I primarily want to know if I should not use it right now. I would LOVE to take it to some of the local camp spots. I dream of going on tour. And, what step is next... who can I take it to to confirm (if I cannot), and how to fix it. All big questions, I know.
Many thanks in advance for everything!
Surfside in Edmonton,
Christina
