Lightweight
fiberglass camper, a 1983
Burro (very similar to a Scamp).
While we've had it, we updated the curtains and cabinet knobs, fixed the carpet, cleaned it thoroughly, fixed the door handle and lock, added an additional lock, got the stovetop working (it also has a
fridge and sink), replaced the four-pin wiring and
propane connection, and built a little extension for the larger sleeping area which makes it more comfortable to sleep two (it can also be used as a little table!). We have all cushions that we know of. I think it's missing the poles to hold up the front bunk, but those can be replaced easily enough.
This camper is *very* lightweight. It's definitely less than 1100 lb; we did weigh it, but I don't remember exactly what it weighed.
Price is firm at $4000 considering my husband spent every day of his four day weekend working on it rather than using it.
Located in Sioux City, Iowa. There is potential for pre-paid delivery with some consideration for mileage to the Omaha, Sioux Falls, and Des Moines areas, or perhaps even between here and eastern Wisconsin. I haven't cleared this with my husband or parents (who, newly retired, would love to make a trip somewhere).
Drop me a note, and I will likely give you my husband's phone number for more information.
