Hi Buzzbunny..Mine is a 13 as well..Here is a pic on Daytona Beach, Florida...The black oval hole just behind the wheel at the rear of the trailer is a built in Honda 2000 Generator..You can start and stop the generator from inside the camper..

I installed a on board Honda 2000 generator..You can start and stop it from inside the camper..I bought the Camper in Ontario..Canada

We haven't taken ours anywhere yet. No cushions inside. I have to make some.

If you are going to the Florida Keys..Leave the cushions at home and use air mattresses..If you get Sand Fleas in the Interior..You will have to toss the Interior..

Have you ever been to the Keys..Bahia Honda State Park is the place to visit..Water is clear as Gin, and in the upper 80s in Temp..It's Heaven on Earth..Here is a pic of my 19G..Chateau beside my Mazda and Trillium..I love the Trillium so much, I am going to sell the 19G..Chateau
I just hose out the Trillium because I surf and Dive so there is always lots of sand..Now I get to I enjoy the trip in the roadster pulling my house instead of driving my house and pulling my roadster..I am having so much fun..Thank you..

Hello, William...welcome to this forum!

Firstly, I must congratulate you for such an inventive mod---the generator being inset is genious!
How did you go about doing this? Do you have photos of the process???

Secondly---I'm going to Key Largo this January. Where are you staying? Bahia Honda SP wasn't available (it books a year in advance) so we're booked in to Key Largo Campground. How bad are those sand fleas...and I hope they won't be an issue in the winter (gotta be an optimist!)

Thank you For the kind words Theresa..I will post some pics of the Gen Install in the next few days..I have been bit by sand fleas..Nasty..But I never had them inside my R.V but my diving buddy made the mistake of wearing his flip flops inside of his New R.V like my new Chateau..He had to remove every piece of fabric..A 8,000 Insurance claim..

The minute I saw the inside of a Trillium..I was in love.All Fiberglass..just hose the camper out..I took it one step further..I have installed drain plugs..Fill and drain and it's all clean..Best Surf/ Diving camper ever..And my Roadster can pull It.

David, I think they would but John is from Texas..I was very lucky I did not get them in my R.V..because I had quite a few bites..more than 20, looked like a small rash..My R.V has a outside shower option as well as a full bath Inside..I showered outside to wash off my dive gear from the salt water..I think this is what saved me..

I have been going to the Keys for 20 years and no problem but the last few years..The sand fleas have been a real problem..

The Trillium is a Divers dream camper..I left all the cushions at home and replaced them with Air mattresses..I removed all the carpets and just rinse out the bare Fiberglass floors..

Very neat set-up. Would the gen be safe to use enclosed like that, I always thought that a gen should be set back some away from trailer, for safety reasons, Carl

Hi Carl..The Honda is a draw through design so all the exhaust and cooling air exits through the rear of the unit... I have a C/ M unit in right beside the Honda in the sealed box and one inside the camper..Both have never set off due to high levels..

I have run the generator at night from 6 pm to 7 am every day for the last 10 days I have been in South Florida..So far so good..Its nice to be able to start and stop it from Inside the camper..The Honda is whisper quiet and runs on less than 2 dollars a Day..

I got spoiled by my R.V having power at the push of a button..Now my Trillium has the same..

Per Honda's PDF safety sheet for the 2000 generator:

* Never operate a generator inside your house, garage, basement or an enclosure of any kind because its carbon monoxide exhaust fumes are deadly.

* Position your generator outside but close to the house or household panel while maintaining a minimum clearance of one meter (3 feet) on all sides of the generator.

* Do not operate the generator while it is on a vehicle.

* Avoid a place exposed to direct sunlight when putting the generator on a vehicle. If the generator is left in an enclosed vehicle for many hours, high temperature inside the vehicle could cause fuel to vaporize resulting in a possible explosion.

I am fully aware of the Honda Disclaimer..I am surprised it only states 3 feet from the house..That must of been some fight between the Honda Liability Lawyers and the Honda Engineers..I am surprised the Honda Liability lawyers allow you to put fuel in the generator and start. It up..
