New to us PlayPac

Hello I'm Richard And my wife is Janet and we are the proud owners of a 1971 PlayPac that we purchased the day before yesterday.

Have been looking for a couple of years now and was beginning to think we wouldn't be able to find one. We are former Casita owners and I've always regretted getting rid of it.

Hope to find lots of good info on the Play Pac forum. Haven't figured out how to post on their site yet.

Have a good day.

Richard

Welcome, RT! Glad you found what you were looking for.

I'm kind of curious… what kind of Casita did you have, and what made you look for a PlayPac specifically this time around?

And, of course, we'd love to see your new treasure when you have a chance to post some pictures.

new playpac

Thanks for the reply Jon.

We had a 1995 16' sd Casita that was showing it's age so in a weak moment I sold it and converted a cargo trailer into a camper.

We were not looking specifically for a PlayPac, just a fiberglass trailer. Having attended several fiberglass rallies in the past and making friends we just missed it. Actually my preference was either a Casita or a Scamp.

This PlayPac was the one OlehippieJim redid a few years ago. He sold it to a lady in Panama city, fl from whom I purchased it from.

Congratulations.

We want to see pictures.

I just sold my Boler and I miss it.

I always wanted a PlayPac since I saw one.

Hello Clive,

Are you in the Tampa area?

I talked to a man who had a Boler for sale in Tampa. He also had a very rough 13' Scamp for sale. If I had lived closer I would have went down and checked them out.

Yes.

There's a Scamp and a Boler for sale on Craigslist now.

scamp

1969 boler trade?

I was tempted by the Scamp to pick it up and reno it. I think the Boler looks "overpriced" for how it appears in the ad.

Yes I was thinking Scamp also and might have gotten it if I hadn't run into this PlayPac. It was almost in my backyard. I'm 5 hours from Tampa.
