Wheel size on Bigfoot 15B17
Hi everyone,
I have a Bigfoot 92 15B17, with flipped axle. It has a 5 hole bolt pattern and currently has 14 inch tires. I'm just wondering if I could possibly fit 15 inch wheels on them, would love to have beefier and nicer looking wheels
Thanks!

Glad you asked this question. I too would like nicer wheels, so I'll be following this thread.

I changed the original axle with 4" drop to a straight axle. I run 225-75-15 tires. Jason, if the 4'' drop axle on your 92 was underslung you probably have room for the same tires. Jan, your 02 may already have a straight axle as standard.

My '02 came with the dropped axle and 14" tires.
I quickly corrected both with a straight axle and 225/75R15s.

Recently, I saw an 04 with a straight axle and from conversation with the owner, I'm pretty sure it was from the factory that way. The straight axle and 225-75-15 tires are, in my opinion, the way to go.

Thanks to the OP for the question and to others for answers.
I switched the drop axle on my 2002 Bigfoot 17' to a straight axle, but still have the 14 inch wheels. Would I have to change brakes or axles to accommodate 15 inch wheels?

You can use 15 inch wheels with the axle you have now. The bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2.

Thanks Jack L, and my apologies to the OP.
Now that I've disrupted this thread, is there any issue with wheel offset I need to beware of? I'd like to start shopping for wheels and can't afford to buy the wrong thing.

Zero offset is best and 5 on 4 1/2 correct. I've used recstuff.com twice now and been very satisfied.

That's great information, no worries @40bpm!
Please show us what wheels you are getting, I'm casually looking myself 😀
