The power coming on at once is exactly what you need for a trailer, low RPM immediate torque is what pulls.

I had an 2012 F150 3.5 Ecoboost for 80 thousand great miles, but found it lacking when we got the 25' Bigfoot due to heavy tongue weight which was cured by Timbrens, and poor downhill engine braking which cannot be fixed. Mileage was poor as well, 9-11 mpg. Pulling power was decent.

Up sized to a RAM 2500 Cummins, and it is a much better tow rig for a heavier trailer.

Loved our F150.

Tundra and 25' BF

I had a 25'BF rear bed, and a 2007 Tundra 5.7 liter, with a Leer FG Cap, a Honda 3000 in the bed, and it towed very well. I have the weights if you want them. Unfortunately, the BF got totaled by an old F250 pulling old heavy fifth wheel that couldn't stop when the highway came to a dead stop over a hill in TN. He opened my BF like a sardine can, as he hit the left rear and went down the side to the front window. But it towed the BF very well. That engine has lots of pulling power, the suspension on the Tundra is a little on the soft side, but never had an issue towing.

Replaced the 25' Bigfoot with a 1995 Holiday Rambler which had a gross weight of 8000 lbs. Pulled it over the Rocky mountains at 11000' and all the way to Alaska, and around the country without any issues. 27K miles in one trip.

I pull a bigfoot 21 rear bed. the trailer itself is 17.5 feet and has storage for propane and batteries in front. My truck is a tundra 5.7 and I just got back from a trip to the Oregon cost from Portland. I have a truck scale close to home and ran it over on the way out of town, it was 4600 lb loaded.
My milage was 14.5 mpg, but I have a very light foot when it comes to speed and keep it between 60 and 65, through the cost range slower 55 tops. It does 45 over the passes no problem. I don't know any specs. its just my story.
