21 Foot To Be Introduced by Escape
I was just at the Escape website and saw a note that a 21 foot will be introduced this spring. There aren't any details and you have to contact them directly if you are interested in more details at this time. I really like the 19 foot so am anxious to see what is done with that extra 2 feet. I love the small trailers the most but tall husband, adult son with DS and two floor hogging large dogs and it is amazing how much a dog can stretch out to sleep! These are senior dogs and they "sleep" to the point that you are checking for a pulse but they love camping! So, I already know that a couple of feet in a smaller trailer can really make a difference so can't wait to see what they have come up with.

Reace and Tammy hang over at the EscapeForum. Lots of info about layout, possible pricing, etc. Yesterday, Reace posted a picture of the new plug: 21' Escape Update - Page 6 - Escape Trailer Owners Community
Sounds like scheduled production will start in October.
I think you have to be a member to view.

Lots of pluses and minuses with it. One thing there is no doubt about, it is a well built trailer, and a great buy for the price.
The layout is made more open by putting the washroom in the front corner, and there is a rear dinette for those that prefer it.
The bed is not a full queen like the 19, but personally I am fine with it and the space saving it brings. Access to the bed is better than the 19 though.
However, for me the only negative, and the reason I would never more up, is that you have to walk through the bedroom area to access the rest of the trailer. I prefer my bed to be at the furthest reach of the trailer, kinda like a sanctuary.
But, maybe if another layout was offered.............

I would trade up because I want the rear dinette and with the front bedroom it would give you an incentive to make the bed daily. I also like the more openness of the unit. Sigh, what a nightmare to have to buy and sell again!!

Jim, I think you'd be able to sell very quickly as lots of buyers (including me) would love to get their hands on your trailer!

Must be about time for a new one, Jim... haven't you had the current trailer longer than usual?

Now, Jack...
Would you have said that to Zsa Zsa Gabor, who when asked how she cleaned her jewels responded:
"Clean them??? Dahling, when my jewels get dirty, I just throw them away!"?

Jim,
we could team up on delivery.....we are eyeballing the 21 as well. Brenda was discussing it last night when we were talking about winter camping with you....
Just a thought. They could just deliver to PA....2 new escape 21's..... Me and you would have a tough time narrowing down all our custom mods though.

Bigger is not necessarily better.
At some point the cost of the additional size keeps people stationary, not able to afford to travel, either because of the cost of the rig or more likely the cost to move the rig from place to place.
Certainly one of the biggest forum discussion points is mpg. Fuel is a rather significant cost for RV travelers and from what we've seen it's keeping people stationary for longer periods. Generally bigger rigs mean bigger, less fuel efficient, tow vehicles and the trend is for less travel.
I'm still waiting for the trailer manufacturer who will make more effective use of the space available.

Norm,
If they made a more effective use of space trailer, then you nor I would have any modifications to make, we would be out of a job!!!!

And Jim, I presume this time you'll get Escape to run wire everywhere for your modifications? That should keep you busy for the summer.

According to Reace the total Trailer length will be 21 from hitch to bumper. The body will be 6 inches wider than the 19ft if my memory is right. Last summer Reace and Tammy brought over a tape measure and went completely over my Bigfoot21RB.
