FWIW...the fridge in an Egg Camper is a 12v compressor fridge so some way of keeping the battery charged over a period of time is needed. Of course, a campsite with an electric hookup takes care of that. Shortly after buying our 2011 Egg Camper I bought a Honda 2000i generator, carried it for thousands of miles and never used it. Sold it last fall.

Mine is still in the box in the shed, as soon as I sell it, I'll need it. It is like insurance, buy it and you will never need to use it.

I bought a 4000 watt generator for my home and hardly used it for 15 years, then we had the emerald ash borer epidemic and I found myself using it for days at a time. Ya never know.
