Has anyone replaced the air conditioner on scamp

I have a 19 ft. Scamp 5th wheel 2002. It has a RVP PRODUCTS 6727 MINI MACH AC system that i think is going south. I am planning a trip to Illinois in about 2 weeks and would like to do research on what to replace it with should it fail during our trip. Is it an easy task? What manufacture/model do you recommend? Were to purchase with a fair price? Thanking you in advance for your comments. Bob
