SOLD - In November 2014 we bought our
Scamp as an empty shell, and we've spent the last 3+ years making it into a comfortable, fun, and functional camper to sleep 3. Has a converter to run on
battery or shore power (30 amp); deep cycle marine
battery; electric
brakes; gravel guard for front window; dinette in front (with custom cushions) that converts to a single bed; full size permanent bed in back with memory foam mattress; new Camco porta-potty; cold A/C in lower part of closet. New blackout curtains; new sheet vinyl flooring. Storage under bed and under front benches.
Tires have less than 500 miles on them, with spare on back. Has 7-pin connector. Coupler takes 2" hitch ball. Hitch height is approx. 20". Trailer weighs 1680 lbs, and is easy to pull. May 2018 inspection.
Planned to make various upgrades, but currently has no stove/propane, no sink/water, no
fridge. Recently discovered a small section of soft floor under the bed in the rear driver's side corner, and a leak that's either coming from back window or from bolts that hold on spare--not sure. Window may need to be removed and re-sealed to stop leak, then small section of floor (approx. 1' x 2') will need to be repaired/patched. Rest of the floor is SOLID. Storage access door on rear passenger side also needs to be removed and re-sealed.
With the permanent bed in the back, we just weren't aware of this issue and were out camping with it just a couple of weeks ago! Shouldn't be a huge or expensive project, but sadly, we've realized it's a bit more than time and circumstances will allow us to do. We've loved our
Scamp and hate to let it go (which is why we were back and forth about selling or keeping), but we know that someone else will love it as much as we have!
Have some uninstalled upgrade items available that may convey.
