Exciting time! I well remember that little office when we picked ours up in 2010. Gotta "dig" that new bright-white color! Wish they could stay that way.

Keep us posted on how you like it.

Yes. I wish our 2007 16'er SD was as bright and shinny as that new one. That said, one question you might ask Scamp or a marine store is... Is there a treatment you can apply to newly made fiberglass which will prevent or delay the natural fading / weathering of the fiberglass? Anyway... Have a great time Scamping!

Yes. Wax.
3M has a line of marine products for maintaining and/or restoring fibreglass.

Almost two years ago we visited the factory, and even though I bought mine used, we got a great welcome at that little office and a factory floor tour. When done, we looked at each other and both said: "Aren't those shiny new Scamps gorgeous?" Ours had two weeks worth of dust and mud all over at that time. Don't worry about making yours look used, enjoy the travels!

Do they still have the 13footer pole sitting in the front yard?

Got mine 9 months ago in Sept.SD 16`. You are gonna love it. We got the same color Rav4. Hope i don`t drive off with a different Scamp, if we stumble on the same camp ground. Carl

No window has a vent fan instead. I think we're going to like the fan over the window.

New Scamp too!

Congratulations Russ & Cindy. Wish you all the best in your travel adventures.

We will be picking up our new 13' Scamp in 3 weeks. Are now in the process of installing brakes in our TV, a 2002 Toyota Tacoma.

Anyone have a good starter list of necessities to bring along for our shake-down cruise? We will be driving out from PA and will look for a place to camp in MN for a day or two before heading to Denver to visit family. We are bringing our canoes and our dog, too.

Faith & Bill

Lots of small towns in Minnesota have city campgrounds, like mine does in Aitkin right on Mississippi very reasonable!

Congratulations! Looks nice! I especially like the extra set of tailights for visibility.
