Red face 2002 - Bonair OXYGEN - $11,000 - Victoria BC

We are very sad to be selling our Bonair Oxygen, as the 'egg' that towed it, my Toyota Previa, has been retired from the road. They made the perfect team. The Previa had only a 4 cylinder engine, but could tow the Oxygen easily as it bobbed along behind at lighter than 1800 lbs.
It's a 2002, and we've owned it for 3 years. Easily sleeps 4 -- has a queen bed at one end, and a dinette that converts to another bed at the other end. It is in very good condition, and we have never even cooked in it (our son has multiple food allergies, so we always cooked outside it). No smoking, no pets.
As everyone knows, these trailers come up rarely... price is a reasonable $11,000. We live in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Very cool looking trailer! Any inside pics? Hot water? Bathroom?

If it hasn't sold in a few months, I'll be in Vancouver and may be considering a trailer that will work better for full timing than my 13" Scamp.

By the way, I am not 100% sure that this E.T. looking trailer is a real FGRV made 100% from fiberglass.

Under the outer shell, there is a composite basis (which is the main structural element) which created a lot of problems to Bonair mainly delamination. They had recalls and many returns and warranty work to do on that trailer. This is one of the many reasons under the bankruptcy of Bonair (there are others including a fire but globally it seems that the bankruptcy was mainly related to poor management).

That composite material was Nida-Core made by 3M : Nida-Core Lightweight Composite Honeycomb Core Materials and Structures

?? Loving my 13' Scamp but it is feeling really small. Not sure how I'd swing the finance, but any chance it's still up for sale? I need a good excuse to go out to the island for a visit!

Normand, I'm quite curious about the Oxygen construction and possible issues long term. But perhaps someone's for sale topic is not the best place to discuss that. Maybe we could start or continue any existing topic on about that. They seem extremely light for their size, even compared to other eggs. There are often tradeoffs when you do that.

The Oxygen in Victoria sold shortly after it was posted above.
But funny/oddly enough another one came up for sale in Vancouver in mid December (suspect it may have been the same trailer) - it to sold - actually pretty fast for a few grand more. The old location location story.

All I can tell you Jim is the trailer that was for sale at the top of this thread is definitively long gone!

Have you ever considered a road trip West? You might have to fly back though.

I cant argue with you Jen. And one of the reasons for sale...sold my pick-up and now rely on friends vehicles. Sad state!

Hey, as I've said elsewhere, "any excuse for me to drive across Canada!". I'd love to see NS, have no doubt it's beautiful.

Just sayin' that trailer would probably sell fast around Vancouver. Especially at that price.
