I added a third tail light to the back and replaced all of the exterior lights.

Peel and stick backsplash

Ran wiring for the fan and all three led lights. Recycled insulation for a little light blocking.

I used outdoor carpet for the ceiling and exposed areas. 3M 90 adhesive to keep it all up. It's been hot here and so far it's staying up.

I made the cabinet doors out of 1/2 plywood and lattice trim.

The plastic on the ice box was brittle and I left it off. I was thinking of putting an RTIC 20 cooler in there and had one on order. They didn't ship when they said they would and never sent an update. I cancelled it. For now just extra storage under the stove.

7/8 cam thumb locks to keep them shut during travel.

I used the ceiling carpet in the upper cabinets.

I made the curtains out of a sunbrella fabric. The side slider window curtains use a cheap curtain rod. The front, back and door use 1" aluminum rod that I curved to fit.

Ikea hanging kitchen bars.

No bunk beds in this one. I added a layer of memory foam to the foam pad that came with the trailer for the front bench seat. Very comfy now. All of the zippers were harvested off of the old cushions and I used them on the new ones.
I had washed the foam pieces last year pretty soon after I got the trailer. Stuck them in the tub and walked all over them. A couple of them needed a little bleach. The foam went into the sun on our hot days and came out pretty good.

To smooth out the bolts sticking up out of the floor, I used some cork underlayment that I had leftover and cut little holes for the bolt heads. The floor is the Allure vinyl with grip strip. The grip strip didn't have anything to keep the sticky stuff from getting all things that are blowing around from sticking to it. The adhesive was exposed right out of the box. I didn't like that part of the install so much - picking off the leaves. The baseboard is the ceiling carpet. It's ribbed so I just picked how tall I wanted it and followed the rib line. 3M 77 adhesive for that part - just sprayed the carpet. It stuck best when I got a lot of adhesive on the carpet. I like how it came out and how easy it was to install.

The battery is out in the tongue box. It's aluminum, I didn't think it was too heavy. I added a layer of 1/2 plywood to the inside floor of the box.

I haven't hooked up propane although I did put the stove back in. The standard tank is not going back on. I did see a small refillable on someone else's trailer that would probably work. Not really sure what I'm going to do with that so I'll be using my coleman propane stove out on the picnic table for this next trip.

10oz canvas duck on the rear cushions. Big Duck was good getting the samples out (a well labeled book with all available colors in the weight that I was looking at) and quick with the fabric purchase.

Super fuzzy rug from Home Depot.

12V USB and lighter plugs.

Shelves in the closet. Aluminum angle as the frame.

I sewed edges on a piece of screen and hung it in the doorway with 1" aluminum bar with some more 1" bar sewn in the bottom for weight.

100w lightweight portable solar panel with a Windynation controller.

I'll paint the exterior eventually, but next week I'm camping.

Jeanne- This was very interesting, as I'm redoing a 1984 Companion. I may not have to take the floor out. Everything else, pretty much. You seem to know a lot more about what you are doing than I do, but I'm getting there.

Jeanne, this is a wonderful thread! I am happily reading along thinking, "WOW, she is moving right along. Must be doing it full time!" Then I realized you started this thread LAST JULY I thought I should be knocking these repairs and upgrades out, but I see that it does indeed take some real time and effort.

So I went outside and painted all the Elephant Skin in mine. I feel much better about getting something done.

Two coats of Interlux PreKote followed by two coats of Brightside in Off White.
I'm pretty happy with it. All of my repairs are pretty well hidden.

Maybe a couple of little tweaks, but it's pretty much done.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! You give me hope that I will get there eventually. Did you spray or roll?

I rolled it on and used the same roller to smooth it out.

What kind of roller, exactly? If you don't mind sharing. There are SO many kinds. I'm also going to use Interlux
