Thom THANKS for sharing! Cool beans that Chandler let's folks take pictures during manufacturing, I know Escape Trailer Industries does... in fact they send pictures of a build to owners trailers being built. I've HEARD Casita won't allow pictures to be taken of their manufacturing process and I've never seen the inside of Scamps process (except right after the fire). Transparency... it's a wonderful thing....

Nice photos. Good to see all this.

You drink river water? I would think that lake water should taste better. Probably the same after filtering, though. Is that a gravity filter? What's the volume per minute?

on the photos... Brian shared that the PL crew were very proud of their product and so it seems only natural they wouldn't mind peeps sharing some PL love with their eggFamilies

on the gravity filter...we get about 1 liter every 15 minutes or so...plenty of flow for us to fill a tank. And we are waaaaay up in the hills when we prospect for gold. Not much upriver/upstream from our camps. And all the peeps we come across are very clean as to how they keep camp and follow all the grey-away from river regs and such.

We've only camped once by a lake and it was beautiful...but around midnight...i asked Cari if i could play my mp3 file i recorded of our favorite river (it is the one called "3hrQuartzCreek.mp3" in the "BWE Audio - Various files " directory on my Brainwave Entrainment page feel free to download any of my files). I put it on a repeating loop and it plays all night. I even play it at home if it gets to quiet. The river is soothing to our ears and souls

For any who may wish to contact my Transporter... He has a FaceBook page

Roger Gates at FB

As stated elsewhere in this thread, Roger has regular trips to Southern Oregon to transport small river boats from the manufacturer's facility to new owners all around the lower 48...give him a holler and see if his services can meet your transporting needs. And no, i have no affiliation with Roger other than being happy with the communique during the Pre-Delivery process. He will be picking up our PL at the NC plant next week and should arrive here on the Oregon Coast next weekend.

Does he charge by weight or mile for the cross country trips?

on fee..i have no idea how he arrived at his quote...but it was in the lower ~30% of quotes and i liked the communication/Q&A feedback we had so i went with him. And these delivery runs for us TT buyers are basically back hauls for his breadNbutter boat delivery runs. Give him a general pick up date/week, a pick up zip and drop off zip and he will shoot you a quote.

That Maxx looks like it was made for the Parkliner. What a great choice.

Thumbs up

on the Maxx... Chandler is considering offering it as an option to the Fantastic Fan. The MaxxFan is a real trip saver when the rain hits in summer!

Thom,
Great photos, thanks! I feel like I'm standing on that loading dock again. It will be only a week tomorrow. I did the first wash/wax today as the weather was overcast but warm (for here) and not actually raining although forecast for the rest of the week. Guess I'll get started on the inside clean and polish. We're into our second season here in Upstate NY. Mud! The frogs are singing tonight, but tradition says they have to be frozen into silence three times before spring is truly here. We're back into the upper 20s by the weekend, so Spring must be coming. (Not really a season, just a transition between Mud and Bugs.)

Hope all goes well with your transport. Keep us posted.

Roger emailed me yesterday ~noonish~ just crossed the Wyoming/Utah border and had gone through a snow storm. He said he was going to take it easy with the high winds with plans to arrive Sunday afternoon

Sounds like tomorrow is going to be an exciting day. Or will the anticipation have to wait until Monday? Keep us posted!

Exclamation

Greetings all

Our Parkliner (build #35 - off assembly line on 4-9-2013) arrived today!

I want to thank Roger Gates who drove our unit from the PL factory in North Carolina to our driveway here in Oregon. He said it towed like a dream. The only time he chose to take it easy was during some heavy winds and a snow storm while going through Wyoming.

Roger was very impressed by the crew at Parkliner. He picks up and delivers small recreational boats and trailers for a living and stated that the Parkliner crew had a work ethic and pride in their job that is very rare. He also stated that he is happy to help out any on the west coast (or nearby) that need their rig delivered.
You can contact him on Facebook: Roger Gates

Now for some pictures!

This shows our choice of fabric colors:
Cushion =
Tab Tangerine, Curtains = Canvas Antique Beige

We are pleased with the look and feel.
The coco throw pillows are some we picked up at our local Costco and are made with sunbrella fabric:

this is the outside street view (note there is no tank fill...it is on the curb/camp/river side) :

this is the outside curb view (note galley window. this is a change from the stock slider. it is the same one as used in shower and we are very pleased with this choice! note also tank fill, with camp/river side access.) :

this is the outside galley window closeup view:

OK... the next post will have some interior shots.
