Determining Value of a 1986 Casita

Just noticed a neighbor is selling his 16' 1986 Casita. Asking price is $4995. It has a bath/shower, exterior looks good, haven't checked it out in person on the inside yet.

How do I determine if that is a fair price? I'm new to this, haven't purchased a TT before. The biggest money saver for me on this TT, is the location!

That in itself is a tremendous pricing consideration.

I can't help you on his asking price, but the location premium *for YOU* may be worth it all on it's own.

i looked for a long time before i stumbled on my elcheapo 13 and saw many casitas priced higher than that. depends on condition and they are in demand! e-bay has had some bid up out of sight that looked like junk. if it looks good and you like it dont let it slip away as i did with a very good one. now is hot market time, prime camping season. ck casita club for sales as well as our site but it doesent sound out of line. tires are a couple bucks and are normal maintenance anyway so unless its structurally damaged see if it feels good and go for it.

also is it a liberty freedom or spirit and has it been stored on grass? grass gives off moisture which rusts the underside and frame.
