Surfside Green Machine
We've owned our Surfside for about 4 years and last year we took it through a cosmetic renovation. We've really enjoyed this site and it's been an inspiration! What was once a cream colored, chipped exterior has been painted with rock guard in Honda Element Kiwi Green. The interior carpeting has been replaced with a dark brown fiberfloor, and the couch converted to a two person dinette - much handier! The interior has become a bright, cheery lime green. Thanks to my dad, we've installed a screen door. We've used some of the instructions we found on this site, with a few modifications. We love our Green Machine, and can't wait until summer comes around again when we can take it on the road!

Bright and cheery! Isn't it fun to personalize a trailer and making it uniquely your own.

Thanks Donna! It was a lot of work, but we really enjoyed it! It became a bit of a family project, including my mom and dad for the bedding, drapes, installing formica.... but it was all worth it!

I love the color combo, and especially like how you did the curtains. I have been daydreaming about doing a front dinette modification like that on my Burro - very nice!
Can you tell more about the rock guard paint? How much does that cost to do?

Thanks Jen We love the dinette - we didn't have a need for the couch and I'm so glad we did the modification!
I had to ask my husband about the exterior paint. It's truck bed liner (duraguard?). It wasn't cheap - around $2500, but we didn't have to fix any hairline cracks before it was applied. The body shop applied 2 coats and we're very happy with the finished product. Easy to clean and durable!

The inside door with the screen is a perfect addition , the previous owner of our surfside put in a folding door with a screen , and does it ever help on a hot day and to keep bugs out. And to say you trailer is a very nice unit with the new paint and insde changes, well done
