2008 EggCamper 17' $11,800
2008 EggCamper, owned since new and in excellent condition. It tows beautifully and is a delight to camp in. Interior is wider and taller than most similar fiberglass campers. Features and additions/improvements listed below. Now retired, we are planning much longer stays in the camper and are moving to something bigger. We regret that we can’t keep both. The Egg holds a special place in our camping experience and we hope that someone else will enjoy it as much as we have. Take it to the FG rallies; you’ll have a great time.

Does your frig operate while you are towing mine runs off propane when towing. Also does it have a oven? The front bed is it permanent or capable of making into a dining area? Last question while in Pa are you located? Thanks Harold

The fridge operates off of the battery (which is being charged by the tow vehicle) when traveling. The fridge will actually operate for about 3 days on a fully charged battery even if not plugged in or connected to the tow vehicle. No oven. This camper is set up with the bed intended to be set up all the time. That said, underneath the mattress you will find the fiberglass seats for a large dinette. A table top and support could be added if you really wanted to go that route. You'll note in the pictures that there is already a side dinette for two. We are located near Chambersburg (south central PA).

The floor of the egg is 16" above the ground. If you add the 6' 7" interior height and another 3" to cover the vents that are slightly above you get an 8' 2" exterior height. I didn't have a good way to measure it directly, but this should be real close. Hope this helps.

Someone sent a PM asking if Egg is still for sale, but can't receive PM responses. So yes, it is still for sale. There has been interest, but it's still available.

I'm in Philadelphia. I'd love to drive out and take a look at this eggcamper. I'm free either today or any day this week. You can call me anytime 215-900-6629
I'm 6'3 and have a honda oddessy mini van to tow with. This looks like a good trailer for my situation- selling my house and looking for a new town to live, traveling around the US. This might make a housing situation...
Thanks Dustin

Darald & Pat,
You folks made some very functional mods and the Pat's decorating is beautiful. I expect that you'll miss the egg after it's gone... I know that I miss mine. Somebody will be very lucky to make it theirs.
Ron

Darald and Pat,
Congratulations on your retirement! I started mine in April so we'll be able to camp some more after Scamp Camp in Sebring next year without having to rush back to work like in the past.
Hope to see you at Scamp Camp again no matter what you're using!
If you see a Scamp going through PA in Sept and Oct, it may be us on our way to Acadia and Canada.

Did you ever get a weight as configured? The factory weight is 2,000 and I was wondering what your mods added?
Is the AC the original 5,000 btu or did you upgrade it to 8,000?
