Wire probably went to the swamp cooler that may now be gone. window parts are available. Some info here in the document center, but best info is on the Uhaul Facebook group. EDIT, wire may be from the solar panel

A couple more tidbits of info that is often posted incorrectly here; 1) it is often recommended to new owners to grease the wheel bearings, but the original Uhaul bearings are sealed units and can not be disassembled or serviced in any way, 2) it is also often recommended that spare wheels / rims can be purchased from Northern Tool or Tractor Supply, this is wrong as Uhaul used wheels with an odd bolt circle, 5 on 4 3/4, and a different offset than standard replacement wheels. New Uhaul rims can be purchased from Uhaul's eBay store, they are exact replacements other than the hubcap nubs.

Hey wetaswilly, I'm fairly new to UHAUL campers , too. Join the Facebook gang. There's a lot of info there. Good people ( as in all fiberglass owners from what I've seen).

The original Uhaul hubcaps are very rare as they were supposedly removed to make lug nut inspection easier, and discarded. I believe the original hubcaps will not fit the new replacement rims, but aftermarket plain hubcaps might. Some good info on that too on the fsacebook group.

You can probably sell those original hubcaps and pay for things you need like a spare. They are very rare.
