where does one dispose of the waste

It holds a lot, but if extra area is needed, they sell a second composting bin - with cover, of course - so that you can store the first and take it out of the campground. The weight is negligible, because it uses no water - coir or peat moss are light. I like the fact that it uses no water, so less water wastage.

You still have a liquid tank to empty (and wash out?) and, for $900+, I can empty a lot of porta-potty tanks.

And "Water Saving"? I doubt if we use a gallon of water a day with a porta-potty. Somehow I don't think that's much value, considering every time you flush the home loo it uses a gallon+. Just using the porta-potty must save 10+ gallons a day over home use.

Me thinks that some ideas are oversold in the name of ecology. That money could be better used for energy and water saving efforts on the home front than in an RV loo.
