Well I was going to do the side
windows first and worry about the rear window later, but shippng is so expensive (maybe due to the length of the curtain tracks) that I am going to work out something for the rear window also and order everything at once.
Right now I am leaning toward one of the tracks shown on
this page that use a
snap receiver that slides in the track, and using the
sew-in snap tape on the curtains. Instructions for the plastic version of the track is
here.
I would not use snap slides for curtains that get moved back and forth a lot but for the rear window it should work well. I'm thinking that the snap sew-in tape scan be positioned so that the top of the curtain hides the track (sort of a poor man's valance). Snaps will also make it slightly easier to remove the curtains (for cleaning or a better view).
A few L brackets of some sort on top of the window frame should hold the track*. I am planning to attach the brackets with VHB tape so no permanent modifications to the
Scamp are needed.
EDIT. I am might be overthinking this..
this track will probably go right on the top of the window frame in a Scamp with VHB tape and require no brackets. I'm checking the the vendor now.

* PS, I have no "fear of riveting" and have done some on my Scamp even though it is much newer. I agree all FBRV owners should do some practice on scrap and develop the skill (including removing rivets which can be more challenging). But I avoided the extra holes of the curtain rod holders and plan to continue to avoid them. If someone wants to use a track mounted inside the camper, they can avoid the problems with a least a few of the rivets and holes in the shell. The original holes could even be sealed up with 5200 so you would never have to think about them again.
