The broken egg (Bigfoot)

We had a 25' Bigfoot until a rainy day in Tenn. We were Southbound on route 75 when the traffic slammed to a sudden stop. Our Tundra and Bigfoot stopped fine, but the F250 with a fifth wheel hit the Bigfoot on the left rear corner at the end of the bumper, and went down the side like a can opener. The good news was no one was seriously hurt, but the Bigfoot was a total loss.

Oh man That makes me ill. Just fortunate you guys weren't hurt. Eggs can be replaced, even if we think they can't. Best of luck!

Oh...I'm so sorry. Have to add to the others that I'm glad y'all weren't hurt. Even so, I think I would have sat on the roadside for a spell and had a moment.

That's very sad. Glad to hear you are okay.

The best piece of advice I can pass along is this: you don't have to accept your insurance company's first offer. It is negotiable, and you can fight it in court if you have to. Just by arguing my case, I was able to increase my compensation from $2,800 to just over $10,000 after a not-at-fault accident years ago. And it didn't even go to court. This involved someone coming out to appraise my (totaled) car. The car had over 300,000 miles on it, which is why the original offer was so low.

I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you.

Cool You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs.

I also am glad no one was injured.

So sorry for your loss.

Tell us that the turkey who was overdriving his brakes is fully insured and that you will have a replacement egg.

I feel your pain from here.
Sounds like a massively oversized load for the 250's brakes to handle properly.

We hate to see that happen to any trailer! Bigfoot is making "a few" 21 foot trailers, there is a dealer in Ottawa. You can check BF owners group classified if you are looking for another BF. Thankfully no injuries.
