Wont last long. Looks like a nice unit. Probably weighs closer to 1800-2300.

And they're both wrong, especially NADA!

Oh wait, I see you don't have A/C... so maybe it's closer to the high-end weight Scamp provided. But remember, no one tows an empty trailer to go camping.

The trailer has no brakes? Using a flat four wire harness means no brakes will work if it has them.

The camper had both a 4 wire flat and a 7 pin round, neither one worked so since my mini van does not have a electronic brake controller and has no issue stopping the camper, I stayed with the 4 wire flat. The wiring is still there if you want to go back to the 7 pin round.

That's a good looking, clean older Scamp but is not a layout #6. It appears to be a layout #3. Should have a spacious and open feel to it.

As to the weight this unit does not appear to have many of the upper cabinets often seen. This along with the bathroom delete (no walls, door, toilet, tank, plumbing) should make this a lighter 16 footer for someone looking to shave some weight.

Yes Scamp does know but they also know they do not include in their dry weights the fridge, stove, awning, battery, propane tank, porta potty etc. Anyone who has ever weighed one of their trailers has learned that lesson the hard way!

As a result Papa-T and Donna have given good advise - even without a full bathroom found in most 16' its more likely to weigh closer to 2000lbs empty than it is 1600lbs.

Trailer Weights in the Real World is a good thread to look through when trying to determine actual trailer weights.
