77 Boler heater available

Today I removed the original heater from a 77 Boler. Pretty easy, just unscrew the front screws, the nut to the propane line and the outside vent screws. Two of the outside screws are rusted to the inside nuts, so that is taking more effort. After that, I'll take out the two rivets which hold the interior pipe. The extra storage in this cabinet will be really nice. Just gotta find a door and hinges to cover the hole!

The heater or its parts are free to anyone who needs it. I tried to light it 4 years ago, but the pilot light would not stay on. Maybe just needs a thermocoupler? Send me a message if you are interested in the heater. Headed to the recycler if no one wants it!

For those who have taken out their heater, what did you use to cover the outside hole? Suggestions welcome. Thanks!

I'm kinda interested, but shipping to Florida would probably be prohibitive. Do you have a ball park on weight and size? And a zip code where you are? Thanks

were in b.c. canada not far from the danville border crossing.
as for the hole ,,,the obvious choice would be fibregass repair,,or a speaker or maybe a small hatch door

I removed my furnace from my trillium, there was a heavey plywood frame aroung the opening so left it there for support. I build a shelve unit and inserted it into the opening.
As far as the hole on the outside I left it on and did line it with screen to keep out bees and whatever. I like the idea that this area is well vented because of the gas fittings and I may want to reinstall the furnace at some time.
