The L300 and L400 have been out of production for quite a while. Checking the Vintage Trailer Supply website, they sometimes have reconditioned L300s in stock for $200. Are you positive that its an L300? My Trillium 4500 and others that I've seen have an L400 installed. Just checking. In any case, you can also monitor ebay and kijiji for a replacement.

+10 They show up on eBay all the time. Value is pretty well established. Sadly, my 1977 uses the L400 which tends to go for the most $$$. If you plan to keep the trailer a long time, a few backups can be prudent. I have two backups right now and a NOS repair kit.

The rebuilt L300 mentioned above for $200 is a good deal if that is what you need. Keep your old broken one as a donor.

Bargman locks were used on many trailers back in the day, so the supply is low and the demand is high. Be sure to spell the name correctly when searching on eBay (no e).

If you have an old-fashioned locksmith shop that has been around for a number of years, they may be able to fix your lock depending upon what is broken. I have one I go to that has been around since the 50's and they have all kinds of old stock and parts.

Bargman Travel Trail Locks

My Burro has a Bargman door lockset and the actual locking lever broke loose. It seems like the weak point in these locks. I ended up using a center punch, drill, self taping screw and washer. The lock now works better than ever. I've attached images of the issue and repair.
1) Open the exterior latch and under it you'll find a retaining washer that secures the inside handle. Remove it'
2) Remove the two bolts on the inside of the lockset and remove the two halves.
3) In the first picture you'll see an area where there was a washer that had been held by the mushroomed end of the post.
4) As in picture #2 use a very small center punch to put a starter spot in the center of what is left of the post.
5) Picture #3 shows a small self tap screw and washer. ( Be careful to chose a drill and screw no more than 1/2 the diameter of the post diameter.
6) Picture #4 shows the self tap screw and washer installed.
