Talking Hello from Fergus, ON!

Hi; We just joined Fibreglass.com. We're Joyce & Larry, from Fergus, ON. About an hour & 15 drive north east of Toronto. Didn't even know about this site. It's great!
We've had fibreglass trailers for a little over 12 years now. The first one was a 13' Boler, but it needed a lot of work. I painted it, after a bunch of fibreglass repairs. It had been brush - painted. (Ugh!) Fridge was toast. Cushions too. I gotta say we now wish we hadn't sold the Boler, it really had that classic "retro" look to it - but oh well.....Then we come across a Trillium. A tiny bit wider. 6' 3" versus 6' wide for the Boler. So if you're 6' tall, the Trillium is nicer for sleeping.
Our '74 Trillium has a working 3-way fridge & stove. Original flowery fabric on the cushions. Shelves over the beds. Doors below the bottom bunk bed. Better fitting doors. Oh, & it's 6' 3" tall inside, versus 6' tall inside the Boler.
Overall, a handy, roomier camper. We love it, and despite numerous offers, do not plan to sell it. It fits nicely nearly anywhere!
I've just repainted it to a more mainstream colour. The first paint job was starting to feel out-of-date.
There's a rally (for fibreglass campers) we go to every year, in southern Ontario. It'll be in Wainfleet, On this summer. July 22 - 25. See you there?

Joyce & Larry

Here's a Link to a youtube video I made (actually my 12 year old daughter did a lot of the work, lol.)

Very nice work!

Joyce and Larry, Hello and Welcome. Thanks for sharing the video, great work! Also wanted to mention our Manitoba Rally is reasonably close to you and running from Aug 19-21. Maybe we will see you there! There is more information in the Rally Forum on this site. Take care and enjoy the travels!

Your daughter did such a great job narrating; covering all those details! She might have a future in public relations : )

Welcome to a great group to share and get ideas.

The 17' boler with 6' 4" headroom is just right for us

Welcome Joyce and Larry. If you tell us a bit more about your rally in Ontario - what camp ground and who to contact - I can add it to the rally map in case some of the folks here are intreasted in joining.

The rally I mentioned is already on the rally map. It's called Trailerhood. In Wainfleet, near Niagara Falls, ON

Thanks for the correction! I'll mark that down. I was mixed up with the gathering in PEI. We're thinking about going there too.

This is why this site is so great! I am looking for a Scamp 13', which I have read was a U.S. version of the Boler. Since the Scamp floorplan shows it at 6'6" interior width, I assumed the Boler had the same dimensions! I was just looking at pics of a Boler listed on Kijiji in Hamilton, ON, thinking I might an offer... At 6'1" I might have regretted that!

I just had a look at the ad B19. I recall those small Bolers going for around $2,000 back 20 years ago. Amazing how the prices have skyrocketed.

Your US dollars make it a real good buy here in Canada right now.

PS..... There are a couple 17' Bolers in Sudbury/Timmons for sale now for a few more dollars. Check Kijiji.

MC1,
I do like the exchange rate...and it looks like there is no import tax on trailers. Also, a lot of Canada is closer to Michigan than a lot of the U.S.
