I believe the LA Times published a new article last sunday on the
Geographic, did any one see it ?? , if so can anyone post a link
to it.I believe Bardy is planning to bring it up to Oregon next year.
It would be nice to read more about it now the value has jumped
up around $125000

Here's a link to the one published on October 12: One retro remodel, to go

The problem with the LA Times (and other "news" websites), is you have to be a registered member to read most of the articles.

Mail Tribune of Medford Oregon ran another article last Sunday. A few people who worked on the trailer in 1959-60 have called and provided more information about the trailer, photos of the designer, the plant and advertising.

Here is the link to that article: http://www.mailtribune.com/archive/2006/11...trailers-pf.htm

I hope it works. And yes, I made reservation for the Oregon gathering. I hope I can manage

I hope I have done this right. These are two photos from 1959-60 and one recent.

That's great that you're coming to the Oregon Gathering, Bardy! Don't forget... after you get a campground reservation, you still need to sign-up for the Gathering. You can go here to do that.

Oregon Gathering Sign-Up

I look forward to meeting you and seeing that gorgeous trailer.

I am attaching a couple of photos individually so that I don't have to reduce their sizes.

This one is the design presentaion of the futuristic trailer. It shows the drawings in the background and Chuck Pelly (the designer now 68) showing his designs to David Holmes from Harry & David fruit catalog owner for approval.

Bardy,
Thank you for sharing the info on your trailer. Thanks for recognizing it's beauty and reviving it. I feel like I am among a celebrity when you post.

Great info! I like this trailer more every time I learn more about it, although I still think it looks like it's going backwards...

The drawing shows the Holiday House name as well as "Star Craft", which might have been an idea for the model name - it would have been appropriate.

The factory photo makes the stylistic connection with the wood-and-aluminum Holiday House trailers clear; the composite materials were the key to realizing the designer's desired design, just as most of our more ordinary "eggs" would be impractical to form in other materials.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.
