Sadly we must sell our beloved
Bigfoot. With only a few years of family camping left with kids (our oldest will be 15 soon!) we opted to get a larger trailer to do us for the next 5 years. We have owned this trailer for 8 years now and have done a ton of upgrades to it.
- It is a 1985
Bigfoot 17 G. Originally a "gaucho bunk" model, I removed the gaucho bunk and built a sturdy permanent bunk. It comes at the expense of headroom on the couch (thus the giant pink "smack head here" protective bumper) but gives room for 5 of us to sleep.
Upgrades include:
- Fan-tastic vent fan with 13 speeds, rain sensing and thermostat
- 150 W
solar panel and charge controller
- LED
lighting throughout the interior, including some snazzy reading
lights
- stereo with aux input, upgrade speakers
- dual
fridge fans to keep the air moving and even out the temperature
- new bathroom vent (2016)
- no cheap-o Chinese
tires - Continental Vanco 2
tires
- springs replaced with new ones from Standen's
- BAL rear stabilizer jacks mounted to frame (2016)
- replaced
propane regulator with switch for dual tanks
- dump valves have been replaced
- includes YKK cased
awning (Fiamma F45 style) in the best matching colour
- power center was replaced before we got the trailer
- screen door - new screens
- newer cushions (maybe 10 years old) made locally by Labee foam - much better foam
Appliances:
- 3 burner stove
- forced air
propane furnace
- Dometic 3-way
fridge (12V/120V/Propane)
- bathroom with toilet and sink
The trailer is
light - GVWR is 1875 lbs, tongue
weight is 250 lbs. So pretty much anything can tow it - mini van, small SUV - you don't need a truck.
Trailer is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Price is $11,000 CAD ($8200 USD).
Thanks!
