Hello Francois, I read that you have the same set up as me for propane detector.
It makes some time I do the test and I always find myself with the same condition.
When I run the refrigerator on the DC current, in the minute the detector gives an alarm current decline.
I connected digital dial on the battery and it tells me 12.5 volts, more or less, without showing lower than 12.3 volts.
I connected the detector the same place as one that was in place, the wire seem to fit into the transformer.
I wonder if I should connect more directly to the battery, with a fuse, to cancel this condition?

guess....

it's a guess because I didn't have your problem.....I just connected to existing wires and it worked....

sounds like a bad/corroded connection somewhere...

try putting the voltmeter on the detector leads and then turn the fridge on ....that should tell you something
