Escape Trailer 19'
We are considering buying a brand new 19' Escape. We have a Ford F150 4-Wheel Drive and plan to do a lot of traveling. We are from the pacific northwest and want to go across Canada and into Alaska. We also travel to different dog shows in the pacific northwest.
What are your experiences with the Escape? What are key questions to ask when we visit the factory this coming weekend?
Where may I find the posting that compares the Casita, Escape and another trailer I read on this site?
Greatly appreciate all the good feedback.
Blessings and safe journeys.
Mirna.

Search function is top of the page a little below your name. Use the second blank, google search. Lots of reading. Enjoy and welcome, Raz

We love our 19. Tows like a dream with our F150 and more storage than we can fill. The queen bed is nice as well.
Since you'll be visiting the factory, you don't need to have a list of questions beforehand - you'll know what to ask as you tour the trailers. You'll be provided with a complete list of options and prices as well.
Ours is heavily optioned, (part of the reason we chose Escape was the ability to customize it more than many others) but the stock 19 is very well equipped with just the standard features. Probably the only options I'd consider a "must have" for everyone are the storage box, and the thermal windows/insulation package.

Escape Trailer 19'
Mirna did you know there's an Escape forum. If you check that out you'll see lots of impressions from owners. We have a classic 5.0 which i was waxing today thinking wow this trailer is eight years old and still looks nearly new.
We got it just last year and spent nearly six weeks in the Rio Grande Valley last winter.

I got mine in June and already have about 4000 miles on it. It tows well with my Chevy Silverado 1500 which is a counterpart of the F150. It's a great trailer. I took very few options because in standard form it's very functional. You'll love it. I didn't get it at the factory. They delivered it to me in Sumas, WA which is probably where you'd take delivery. I would have liked to visit the factory but my son was with me and his passport has expired. If you get one, I'm sure you'll love it.

Check the escape forum, just listed is a pristine 19 located in Wisconsin. Price is right and the only popular option that it didn't have as I saw it was solar. And it's prewired for that. 19s are a real nice rig, we've had tons of fun with ours over the past two years. With a one year production wait time, buying slightly used could get you right on the road.

Escape Forum
You said to look at the Escape Forum for the 19' in pristine conditions. Is the forum found under camper trailers and then click escape?
I truly appreciate all of your assistance everyone!!! It is awesome to have such wonderful people in this forum.
Thank you,
Mirna.

Mirna, sorry I was not real specific on how to find the posting but as I'm goofing off after a run to the dump, I see you responded to Marks posting. Hope you find what your looking for, I don't believe you can go wrong with an Escape. Good luck

We visited Escape, Casita, and Scamp owners to see their trailers, and quickly settled on an Escape because of its size options and the interior walls. The vinyl was much better than the carpeted walls, for us. And I can stand up in the shower in the 19. We took delivery of a 19 in May and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I would ask about the construction, the options, and look carefully at the specs of each type.

The Escape 19', (and the 21'), has a table that seats four people without disturbing the bed. We really, really, appreciate having a table large enough to enable us to have someone over for cards, dinner, coffee, conversation, etc. without having to mess with taking the bed down beforehand. That large table and the great storage space are what made us turn in our 17' other brand camper for an Escape 21'.
