Stolen Boler in Winnipeg: RECOVERED!

I just heard that another Boler was stolen in Winnipeg last night. It saddens me when this happens. But with all the Press we had this summer all the Freaks and Geeks are out there looking to get their hands on what does not belong to them.

Please people make sure you safeguard your campers.

Hopefully Karen E will be on soon to post pics of her Yellow 1977 Boler and hopefully the Serial Number as well so we can watch for it.

I suggest that everyone that does not have a coupler lock yet to run out and buy one. They are on Sale at Princess Auto here in Canada right now for $19.99 till Sept 7th. $20. plus tax will make it harder for those idiots to take what does not belong to them.

aww, rick--that just sucks! we all put our hearts and souls into our little gems and for some idjit to come and steal it away......i'd be heartbroken.

the advice about a coupler lock (or something similar) is a good reminder to all of us to keep safe what we treasure.
thanks and good luck to karen e on a swift return.

Won't be around my CG much this fall, but I will keep an eye out.

Anyone know if any of the 2 (or 3?) other eggs stolen this summer have been recovered?

If my Scamp got stolen with all the money, time, blood, sweat and tears that have gone into it? So heartbreaking.

On some trailers, the swing up jack has 2 holes that line up with the jack in the down position. You may need to run a drill bit through first, but a padlock will slip through the 2 holes.

Eh Paul, glad to hear that they found Karen's Boler. Wow 3 streets over eh. Brave kids to drag it that far and think they could get away with it. I often wonder how stupid some parents are, if they even had a clue what their kids did.

All's well that ends well I suppose. That's an odd crime!

I had a sentimentally valuable car stolen once and assumed it was all parts by the next day. But got a call 4 days later, other than selling off the nice rims and putting on junk yard wheels and yanking the stereo the car was about perfect. Insurance covered it. Feels SO good to get something you love back after you assume it's gone!

I also have this: The Wheel Club:
The Wheel Club - Tire and Wheel Lock Winner International Locks WI490

Easy, quick, folds up small, but heavy. I can do it myself.

A padlock thru the coupler latch will deter most theives.

You don't have to make it impossible to steal, just not worth their time/trouble. Reading between the lines on this Boler it sounds like it was too easy for the "kids" to steal (no lock).
