Campground Recommendations near London, ON

We will be heading to London, Ontario next month to pick up our Alto R1723. Does anyone have recommendations for campgrounds there?

I'd also appreciate recommendations along our return route. We haven't decided what route we'll take yet, but we are looking at the following routes:
Along I 75 through Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee, or along I 77, or US Hwy 23 through Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and Tennessee.

We'll be taking a more extensive trip later this summer, but the chance to see an old friend will bring us back within a week from our inaugural voyage. We plan to spend a couple of nights in Ontario and then head back spending another 2 to 3 nights along the way.

Thanks!
Leslie

OK this is where you want to go for your trip to London go up to Port Huron to go across the border don't go to Detroit. Port Huron to Sarnia Ontario is much quicker and then it's just a 60 mile trip to London then for parks one of the best parks in southern Ontario is the Pinery Provincial Park on Lake Huron about 50 miles from London

Ir sounds like you bought your ALto from Can-AM RV. What will you be using for a tow vehicle?

I met two brothers in NL with Altos. They were both towing with VW diesels setup by Can-AM.

We tow with an Odyssey. It will easily handle the alto.

The Pinery Provincial park. On Lake Huron near Goderich, Ontario. Awesome campground.

That's a good choice for a TV. The Pinery is a very good park but if you don't want to travel that far from Can Am try Science Hill park near St. Mary's / Stratford. It's not busy and is a nice quiet private park we really like.

At some point, we'd love to see some pictures and a report on how your Alto is working out. I know it's not molded fiberglass, but it's the sort of small, lightweight alternative that interests many folks here.
