Great to see progress! Do you think the trailer has enough self support without the cabinets etc now that you have put in all that ribbing?
What colour have you decided on?
Too bad about the door shape change but looks like you have it covered.
Great work, looking forward to the finished product now.

Yes, the whole trailer is very rigid now with the panels glued in...seems very strong! The bottom will be teal and the door/top will be a soft white. I'm really looking forward to seeing it painted and then on to cabinets...that's what I've been waiting for!!

Awesome job so far. I am doing a small reno on my boler but not going as in depth as you have. Two questions. 1. What size is your baggage door and where did you get it? 2. I also have new windows from Sunview, do I need a plywood frame to install them. didn't get any instructions on installation. My ensolite is in good shape and I want to keep it, have a little left over from the window above stove I will use to patch the new radius corners, will caulk the seams.

Hi Nancy, sorry for the tardy reply. You shouldn't need a plywood frame to install the windows. I haven't installed mine yet (very soon) but the window and trim ring are meant to basically "sandwich" the fibreglass and ensolite (you would have been asked for the wall thickness when you ordered your windows). And yes, there are no installation instructions given. As I see it, screw the trim ring into the window and that should squeeze tight enough to hold in place. They supply foam gasket but I will be using butyl tape...much longer lasting and I am trusting it more to seal than the foam. If you check out boler-camping.com and go to "fixing leaks - windows and vent", Ian does a good job of explaining the difference between a good and poor quality of butyl tape.
My baggage doors came from Vision Manufacturing, also in Summerland. Vision Manufacturing and Sunview Industries are two divisions of the same company I believe. The contact person I dealt with was Chris Plowman. My baggage doors were 8 1/2" high x 14" long

Back from the body shop with primer and a pink guide coat!! Really happy with the quality of work done. Very labour intensive grinding out and filling the numerous spider cracks in the body. Back to me to finish a bit of panelling inside then back to the body shop to fill and fare seams, screw holes etc in the panelling. Then the last sand and final prep before the top coats outside! Really starting to see the light at the end of this very long tunnel

At last!! I installed the last pieces of panelling!! Towed back to Mike's Quality Bodyworks to have the seams, screw holes and low spots filled in the panelling and then onto the final prep and painting of the exterior. Very exciting step! Windows, door and ceiling vent/fan can then be installed for a sealed up Boler at long last!! Just in time for the rainy season here

A lot of work to finally get to this point....a pretty spiffy looking Boler!! So pleased with the retro colour! Now onto installing door gasket, final door fitting and seal everything up with windows, ceiling fan/vent and baggage doors.

Out of curiosity, how long was the shell sitting without any inner supports? I’m curious as to how long a shell can sit without experiencing any warping issues.

Hi Joseph,
It was years that there were no supports inside the shell but I believe the kink in the door frame happened quite early on. If you are planning on taking components out, I can strongly recommend, at the least, putting in vertical supports to hold the roof up and something to support the doorframe/walls near the door opening. That's where it's really vulnerable. It created a lot of problems for me.
