Tommy, I've had the same problem. Bought my 13", 1981, in March 2015 and have been researching the subject, since then. I have yet to find a decent solution, but have used a 10x10, straight leg, EZ Up canopy. It will just about cover the rain gutter over the door and with a few 4"square 2'x4 pieces of wood, you could make it work. With the option walls to the EZ Up, you should be able to keep most of the rain out of your "outdoor living area". This year I'll I'll have a 13', straight leg with walls to create even a larger area for cooking outside, a carpeted floor and other things. Hope this suggestion helps a little. I'll be hosting at Cataloochee, GSMNP, for the month of August if anyone would like to stop by and say hello. Congratulations to the National Park Service for 100 years of great camping for all of us.
