The fuse is for DC. The AC is taken care of by the push button breaker. If the white button is sticking out, push it back in. It should be noted that this breaker is rated at 10A. Many large loads, like a 1500W heater will trip it.

I have a spare converter. If you want DC for your lights, I would be willing to part with the fuse holder. PM me if interested.

My '75 1300 came to me with no converter, no panel, nothing. Can you guys show me what it would have looked like originally?
At present I have only a junction box in the floor of the closet. The power cord comes to there, and then branches to a receptacle under the fridge and one over the counter( through the floor of the upper cabinet).

I don't know what it had of if it had anything originally, but you might want to look into installing a Progressive Dynamics PD-4045 Power chassis/converter to replace what you have, give you expansion room for ac circuits, fused DC circuits and a 3 stage "Smart" battery charger. They are currently standard equipment in many new FGRV's and I have installed a number of them with excellent results. Available from on-line sources for well under $200

Thanks, Bob.
That's actually the charger I have installed already. I mounted it under the front bench beside the fridge. I just have it plugged into the same receptacle as the fridge. That way, in the unlikely event that I ever plug in to shorepower the battery is automatically charging. So far it's only been plugged in at home occasionally.
I just thought it strange that there's no circuit protection at all on the AC side. I've been wanting to add a small switch/breaker panel just inside the door. At present I have the switches for my 3 LED zones on the window frame to the left of the upper kitchen cabinet, just because it was convenient to wire it there while I use the camper and ponder on it a while.

Hmmm. The PD-4045 has provision for 4 AC circuit breakers and is designed to be your AC power center.

Let me go look at that thing and confirm model number. It was given to me, and I haven't laid eyes on it in months. I just remember the brand, don't have the literature for it. Seems like I recall it just has a couple of DC fuses.

That's a good one, but it's a converter/charger. I will look up the number for the matching ac/dc distribution panel they make for your consideration.

That's the converter/charger part and a very good one at that. Here's a link to the matching PD-5000AC/DC distribution panel that will give you all the AC & DC distribution you need

Thanks much! Looks like that's the smallest one they offer? Guess I'll just have to get used to the idea of cutting a hole in the 'glass...

They have a smaller one that's DC fuses only. the PD-6000 series:
PD6000 Series DC Power Distribution Panels
I had installed two of these when AC breakers weren't needed.

Bob have you seen a Shurton Inverter? A friend has a 1978 with this unit. He needs a breaker.

Yep, in fact I have a Shurtron 715-006 in front of me right now that I use as a DC power supply for bench testing. As I recall, I took it out of a 1978 Sunrader
It has a 120vac/15 amp Push-to-reset breaker and a an unmarked circuit breaker for 12VDC. As the tag sez 15 amps DC max, I'd bet that the DC breaker is also 15 amps.
They appear to be standard components in this package size: Boat Marine Panel Mount Circuit Breaker Push to Reset Switch 20 Amp | eBay
Should be an easy part to find locally.
I'll bet that this anwer surprised you..... LOL
