Used some leftover carpet and put it in the above-the-sink cabinets. I like it enough to buy another roll for the closet. Carpet is recycled plastic bottles.

MIke,
Looking good!
I really like the idea of carpet inside the upper bins, too.

Mike, you have done such a great job, I am so pleased that you have pictorially explained each step for us. Thank you so much. Hoping you get to enjoy her soon. I have the body bolts yet to do on mine and have been so afraid to tackle the job. But do have dremel tool with the cutting blades. Seeing how you used yours gives me more confidence.

Thanks , D Davis. One thing I learned doing the body bolts. If you'll get under the body with a socket and give the nut a quick turn, you might get lucky and break off many of them. Then, use a punch to knock what's left up through the floor. If that doesn't work, then the Dremel will!

Today's fun- I got down on the floor...literally . The planks are all cut except two fill pieces. They are not all the way down so you can still see some lines between them. I bought one box (27.8 Sq ft) and had two pieces left. It is vinyl click planks.

Can't upload pics right now...dunno why.

I got under the camper and I do have to cut off the screws and dab a bit of sealer on them.
My advice would be to use no longer than 1" screws. I think they would just start coming through the bottom but be short enough to dab a bit of sealer on without cutting.

I took the easy way out on the bottom. Instead of cutting all the screws off, I bought two cans of rubberized undercoating and emptied them on the underside. I'm happy!

I started lengthening the tongue today. I can't stand the overbuilt UHaul configuration. I will get a new hitch and Jack. I also got a cargo carrier that will fit a lot easier with the long tongue.

I also put in a 12 Volt receptacle where the right side ash tray was. It will run the TV/DVD player when boondocking. It also has two USB ports. Sorry for the bad pics.
I think I'm pretty much done with the 12 Volt stuff. I do have an extra 12v wire run under the front cubby next to the door for what? I don't know yet

I've been working on the tongue. I extended it about 14" , put a new hitch (still 2") and a cargo carrier on.
I happened to have a piece of pipe that fit over the tongue. I REALLY didn't like the UHaul hitch set up, so I updated it.
The longer tongue will make it easier to back up and have room for the cargo carrier. The cargo carriers main job while camping will be a platform for a ClimateRight AC.
Here's pics

I welded the center bracket for the carrier on the tongue. I can still unbolt the carrier if I need to or want to.
Now , I like the looks and functionality!

PS- I forgot to mention, it took a LOT of grinding and cutting to get all the old UHaul stuff off. I burned up my cheap Harbor Freight 4" angle grinder that I bought for $13 15 years ago. I upgraded to a 4 1/2" grinder for a whopping $19!

I'll be working on the counter top next. I got everything off it (sink, stove and faucet) and bought a piece of wood. I'm going to put the sink back in but leave the stove out. I don't like cooking inside, but will have a small propane stove for making COFFEE! The wood will be the counter top.

Look at a compact one-burner butane stove for coffee. Butane burns hotter and you'll have your coffee sooner. I have a three-burner propane stove in the trailer, but cooking is usually done outside on a two-burner barbeque ( Napoleon ) and a couple one-burner butane stoves.

Looking good, MIke!
I agree with the sentiments on cooking primarily outside, but able to make the morning coffee [especially] inside.......and the rest of the time, a more flexible counter space.
I'll be stripping out our stock stove set-up soon, too.
keepin' on...
Gary

Here's the "stained to match the floor" counter. I have cut out the sink hole and put one coat of water-based poly on it

Hers the finished counter with the new faucet. I'm gathering the parts (new) to have city water and boondocking water come through the one faucet.
