u-Haul solar panels

Have to replace the solar panel on the roof of my U-Haul. Has anyone done this and how. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Thank You
Phil

If you can get the old panel off without disturbing the original brackets, then you can adapt the new panel to those brackets. The original wire comes up through a grommet in the roof. I couldn't get our panel out of the brackets after removing the attaching screws, so had to pull down the inside ceiling carpet, remove the screws to only one of the brackets, get the panel off, put bracket back on. I did not install a new solar panel, only removed the old one to fix a seam leak under it. The original panels were only intended to keep the battery up while the trailers sat on the rental lot. I did not reinstall the original panel.

I replaced mine with a new 40 watt. There are 6 bolts that hold it on. I had to cut off a few of mine because....rust.
Here's a link to my thread. Its shows a little about it. you may need to go back a page.

Thank you all very much for the input. Installed a 50wat and now thinking of another in front of the fan vent. Also installed two 6 volt golf cart batteries and a cobra inverter. So far runs everything except my microwave. Thanks again.
