Hi my friend
I spend a lot of time with my dogs
They are very special to us.
Part of the family

The main reason we decide to buy a camper is for them.

To take them every where we go.

Hello, Fernando,

One main reason we got Peanut is because our dogs were getting older and we wanted to travel with them in a way that they could most enjoy. It was hard to take them outside from a 4th floor motel room two or three times a night!

And the doggy toilet areas in the motels were tiny and filthy...the big outdoors is so much nicer. We travel with a huge wad of doggy-doo bags...odd that in motel pet areas, people often don't bother.

Our girls are eager to go in the trailer. They each have their favorite spots inside, the older one in a large bed under my bed, and the younger on top of my bed.

How is your amerigo restoration going? Since you want to do a good job, I know you will do a good job! Your wife and dogs will love it.

BEST
Kai

furnace

I would forgo the furnace for a wave 3 propane heater no battery use required cheaper to operate take my word for it.

I know venting here is what to do 1/4in roof vent open and 1/4in side vent open when operating. we run ours at night for heat.

we once in a while cook in our tt we open the side vent that's it we also use a single burner coleman all fuel stove for cooking. we also have no sink in our trailer leave us more counter space also.

by forgoing these things you can close the vents up.

we are boondockers we hardly hit a park! this is our system it works for us other may not accept it!

common sense prevails

Hi Falicea. I hope you are making great progress on your Amerigo! I have owned a 1972 Amerigo since 1995. One of the first things I did was remove the furnace. It is now much need storage space. Not much space mind you, but things like bug spray, cleaning supplies and anything else you want easy access to just inside the door. I know I am responding a couple of months after you posted so you may have already patched over the furnace exhaust opening. I decided to use the opening and add A/C outlets and a 12 volt outlet. The A/C outlet works great for a plug in night light. I use the 12 volt outlet for a large plug in cooler. My two cents worth. I hope to read you are close to camping in your Amerigo !!!
