Awning hack for Burro

I wanted to share my awning hack for anyone looking for a very inexpensive way to add an awning without drilling any holes.
I went to my local big box store and bought 2" industrial strength velcro, 3 swivel clips and a length of 1-1/2" nylon webbing and an 8' x 10' tarp.
I put three, 3" sections of the 'fuzzy' side of the velcro on the top of the burro in the location of the tarp grommets. I then took the spikey side of the velcro, cut it down to 1-1/2" x 3" and sewed it and the swivel hooks to the webbing.
The velcro attaches to the top and the clips hook onto the tarp grommets.
I currently only have 6' tarp poles, but they worked fine for now.
We went to the beach where the wind kicked up pretty good and the velcro straps held great.
Super easy to make and no drilling!

Very nice idea for an awning. I might look into that for my own little mule!

Using small c- clamps, instead of Velcro.

I got 3 1” c-clamps for .99$ each. Attached them to the center raised strip and shock corded them to my 8x10 tarp.
Has a nice give in the wind.
6’ poles staked our to the ground.
Everything comes off when I move.
Velcro seems like a great idea too!

Shock cords

Use nylon shock corded hooks, or wrap the hooks with duct tape so as not to abrade the fiberglass.
Velcro is better in this regard.
