ParkLiner Suburban water heater problems

heh Dave....I guess it all goes down to what you need to be comfortable camping! I guess if I was living in it daily convenience sake it would be nice to have.... but honestly I either fire up the pilot flame on the water heater either right before I turn in for a shower, or first thing in the morning when I get my coffee pot starting to perk...so its not really a big deal.

Hey Frank, might want to check your zinc on the water heater....I'm heading to Camping World tomorrow mine needs to be replaced...in a few places I can see the metal rod the zinc is on.

Zinc is fine, but thanks Deryk. I took it out in the fall, put a pipe plug in, and left it in the sink so I wouldn't forget it. I'll need a new one by next year I'm sure. It's amazing to me how fast they deteriorate!

yeah mine about 2 years...i probably could make it the summer with the current one, but I had a $25 coupon from Camping World, so I figure it worked out to free lol

Lit the water heater just now, no problem, once I knew where to light the fool thing! Got good hot water, so that's done, now onto the frig, but not tonight, other things to do.

Frank, I believe you and Pat, and perhaps Huck, are all visiting ParkLiner this week. I'm curious to know if the current trailer frames they are using now have the axle welded on - as was done originally - or bolted on - which I believe was another change they talked about making, but I'm not sure if they have started doing that or not. It certainly could affect the ease of changing out axles down the road. Just curious and would appreciate on update on what you see being done nowadays regarding axle attachment when you tour the factory. Thanks, Dale

Pat & I were there Saturday, and that is not a question I thought to ask Dale. I will be back there Friday and could certainly ask, and I know Huck does not live very far away & is waiting to hear when he can get over. In the meantime, I took a number of pics while there, and here's a few of a bare chassis they had sitting on the floor.
