"...need to add nearly 30 lbs. to the front" ... depends on your current hitch weight. Suppose your Casita weighs 3200 lbs loaded, with a hitch weight of 450. Adding 50 lbs to the rear makes the trailer 3250 and the hitch 420, which is still 13% of the weight and is more than enough for good handling. You should be fine even at 10% weight on the hitch, and you're planning to have sway control besides.

WD hitch install

I cut off the short angle iron stops on the side sides of the propane mount with a reciprocating saw, ground off the remains of those ears and installed a 1/2 inch wood strip in the front and rear angle iron propane tank mount and set the tanks on the wood strips.
This allows mounting the WD brackets on the frame without torching off the end stops and possible damage to the frame. A little paint and all was well!
