My interior door catch has been, ah, "modified". I cannot tell what the original situation was. Can someone with a Surfside post a picture of the stock setup? Please and thank you.

Did anyone ever get you a pic? asking because I could use a pic of this too, as my catch has the same problem

Patience, it's only been a bit over 24 hours.

Hmmm, looks like door catches are a weak spot; it appears that no one has a stock set-up. When daylight hits, I'll get a shot of my setup and perhaps the collective intelligence can guess the correct manufacturer.

Sounds like an idea, I'll do the same but I'm sure my set-up isn't much good.

The catch has been flattened; I can't tell what it originally looked like. Anyone recognize the door latch? Where to get a new catch?

Cam,
That is identical to my Surfside Latch. I have no problems with it other then the actual moving piece inside is old and wearing down leaving very much for it to "hook" on or go behind - meaning when I drive it always seems as if I am looking out the side mirror to make sure and feel good that my door is indeed closed.

didn't some of the models of Boler use the same lockset? And I'm thinking it's no longer available

How about this? Door Lock, Bargman L66

Found a couple of previous discussions on the Bargman locks:

Door Latch - Lock Seized
Door Lock, any ideas of how to modify a 1978 locking system

Wow, Donna, you are a font of information, as usual. Luckily, my locking unit is still working, albeit it moving slightly in the fibreglass. My catch has been hammered flat, and as Eric says, the bolt can move and slid off of the catch. I assumed that, originally, the lock bolt would slide into an opening, and wanted to see what the original catch shape was. I have the quick and dirty solution of a lock on the outside of the door, which prevents the door from opening during travel. Thanks all.
