New To Me

Only two more sleeps before I can have a sleep in my new to me Scamp.
I had a pause of wonder and concern as I read an earlier post about buying a trailer sight unseen. This is what I just did. I did have a good friend look at it since it was in his territory. He gave me the thumbs up. I hope he wasn't plagued with some kind of nasal problem affecting his sense of smell.

I am looking forward learning how to back up correctly. I know I can back up, but have the goal of not hitting anything.

I am so happy I found this forum. It has been wonderfully helpful with a lot of good information about things I wouldn't have thought about before hand. Not to mention, I found my Scamp AKA Jessica Fletcher, per the first owners, on here.

I am looking forward the beginnings of new adventures with my beautiful, smart and charming dog.

Very exciting! Bet wishes for many adventures involving you, your canine friend, and your trusty Scamp!

As long as you don't get in a hurry, you'll be fine backing. Practice when no one's watching and there is plenty of room, like a church parking lot on a Monday morning.

If it smell a bit off when you get it stop at the store buy some Febreze. That product really does work wonders at killing off lingering mildew and odor.

Maybe Febreze has changed in the decade or two since I used it to try and kill cigarette smell in a used car I bought. The stuff was nothing but horrible-smelling strong perfume. It'll cover up other smells, but unless you love the way it stinks, don't use it. It took years to get it out.

Odor eaters really have improved...seriously gross, but I had a mouse nesting in my spare tire well and eating the kids' dropped Cheerios and such...took me. Few months to discover I think, as it was below the back floor, but as soon as it wARMED up WOWEEEEEWW! did I notice it was there. Of course I bleached and such, but also put a few odor eater disks under each seat. They don't release any odor that I am aware if, but do a seroiusly awesome job of removing the mouse smell!!!
