The driver's brake line runs between the super spring and the leaf springs. It looks OK. But the passenger side brake line runs over the super spring and the corner of the spring has started to cut into the line. Using a heavy duty tie wrap I pulled the brake line away from the spring.

Its what makes these sites so valuable..and in this case preventing a pending disaster. So glad you took the time to observe your own vehicle.

well, I'd peg that brake line exposure as an INSTALLER problem, not an inherent problem with the supersprings.


on my Tacoma, the brake lines went nowhere near the Ride Rite airbags I had installed...



(the brake lines you can see going under the leaf springs were in fact secured there with a clamp, and do NOT contact the U bolt nuts that hold the ride-rites in place)

I did more research this morning. It turns out that the cut line is the parking brake cable casing and not the hydraulic brake line, as I originally feared. I put a clamp around the cut section. The parking brake cable slides smoothly, so I think I am good to go.

Anyone considering an airbag system, consider PAC Brake. I just purchased their air suspension system ( HP 10128...for 2019 Tundra). $100 + cheaper than Firestone and material seemingly more commercial like.
