I just rewired for a travel trailer and there are differences in the colour codes of the wiring on a 4 way flat between REGULAR trailers and an RV. The 7 way I purchased was wired for a regular trailer NOT an RV. The colours of the 4 way flat were totally different and I had to swap a few wires around to get everything working the way it should (left signal, right signal and running)
