I thing that it uses the Dexter "Dexstar" 14" rims Here is one on eBay:

You can also Google and/or search eBay with <14" 4 lug trailer wheel> and you should come up with one.

Hmmm... It may also be a Fayette, here is a seller with one 14" Fayette that looks more like the ones in the Amerigo brochure.

If the Fayette costs less than the Dexter you can be sure that's what Mr. Gardner would have specified, he was just that way with everything he built.....

Our 1973 Amerigo has a "bump" or step across the middle of the floor--I thought it was because of the axle? My husband says that's not it, but we don't know what it is and aren't sure we should dig into it or not. Any ideas?

I'm no expert but these photos of a member's 1974 Amerigo frame before and after restoration shows it steps up just in front of the axle - in that sense, the bump is because of the axle.

Andrew Gibbens,
Say, thanks! That's as clear a picture as anyone could want and shows exactly what's under there! Super! Nothing wrong with it, then, it's supposed to be that way; it'd be hard for it to be any other way. Thanks again!
