Trillium 1300 1978

Looking for some help for the window above the sink. I have seen other posts for other windows but not that one per say. I think I have to remove it since I can't get at the gear mechanism to attach it or lubricate it. Any pics as I don't want to damage my egg.
Thanks for all the help and we'll wishes
Tony

David Tilston has just started a thread on Trillium windows.
http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ead-65342.html

You should be able to remove the handle and spray some lubricant into the gear box. We did that to another member's trailer at a meet when they could not get the window to close. Gently used vise grips to turn the gear in increasing 1/4 turn increments and back, repeating the lube each time. 2 months later we got a report that the gearbox is working as good as new. Check a functional window with the gearbox on the same side of the frame- so you know which way to turn. Once the window is open you can clean and lube all the joints.

Hey Roy it turns fine both ways but the window doesn't move when turning. The handle is free. Any thoughts?

Gears are stripped or something is disconnected.

The gear boxes are available. Possibly this one:
Boler Torque Bar Window Operator

I have recently acquired several windows of the same make as the ones in Trilliums. They are mostly the wrong size, but I plan cut them down to make four kitchen windows. They will then be installed into the two 1300's I have, that don't have kitchen windows. The other two will wait till I need them.

I've unstuck a few of them. It takes 2 people, 1 inside cranking and one outside moving the windows. Clean em and lube em and they have worked. Have not had to do more than that.

The mechanics are pretty basic gear drives and levers.
