Door handle fell off in my Boler

Hi there,

I have a 1975 Honey Boler, and last night, I tried to pull the door shut from the inside, and the door handle came off right in my hand.

I'm still able to get it to work, but I can't lock it from the inside now because in order to get the pin in, I need to pull the door in fairly hard. But when I try to do that, the handle just comes off again. Here's a photo:

What should I do? Sorry if this is a super basic question.

Thanks.

This is common
Just slightly loosen the set screw (allen key) on the handle, reinstall the handle then tighted the set screw. If it continues to come loose you can drill a small indend in the square latch rod where the screw tighten against to help the set screw seat better.

I installed a handle on the inside of the door of our Uhaul to pull it shut. Prevents stress on the latch handle.

Scamp puts a metal pull loop in the middle of the door from the factory. Works great!
