Recommend a Wa St. Pk for early spring camping?

I have nothing scheduled until May so was thinking about going camping somewhere around the end of March or in April. Probably avoiding the spring break week(s). Wondering what parks might be good for that time of year.. maybe eastern Washington? I know we can't plan on dry for the west side that time of year.

I'd like to find somewhere that isn't too far from the west side, has dog-friendly hiking trails (hopefully too early for snakes), hookups optional. Any suggestions? Ideally nearer Stevens or Snoqualmie pass as the others would likely still be closed.

There's the Spring NOG the last weekend of April (27th?) at Beverly Beach, Oregon.

Too late, and a little too far. Though I am thinking about Lewis and Clark State Park, also far, but looks very interesting. (SE Washington.)

Steamboat Rock and Sun Lakes are in the desert and open year round. I'm not sure when they turn the water on, but Steamboat for sure has a faucet to fill up with. I like Steamboat the best of those two--it is on Banks Lake and has good kayaking. Both have pretty good winds sometimes and folks say bad mosquitoes at Steamboat, but I have not run into "the clouds" of mosquitoes there.

There's also one in the Potholes area near Moses Lake, but I've never been there, and Wannapum, by Vantage, which I've not been to either.

I think all would be open--for sure by May.

Lake Wenatchee is the closest across Stevens Pass. There are also quite a few Forest Service campgrounds in the area. Size and services vary greatly.

Across Snoqualmie is Easton State Park. I stayed there once too many years ago so I don't remember what it's like. There are also several Forest Service campgrounds in that area, most notably Kachess Lake. That's one I would like to visit soon.

I think it would still be wintry at any of those in early April (and Lake Wenatchee at least doesn't open until April 1). But I may have to wait and see, too. I read not great reviews about Easton. Kachess Lake I've been to but not for ages.

Conconully opens in April and is a good one. It is almost in Downtown Conconully and is a bit of a drive.
