Trillium Jubilee 79'
So I have officially started the Reno of my little 12' trillium, and I am so excited. Got the propane and power lines checked and there was one leak but it is fixed, yeah we won't blow up!
So then I was off to homehard ware and Rona, bought a whole bunch of stuff!
Attached is some picture of the outside plus some of the interior. It's a little beat up!

I can't figure out why did Trillium used that stuff instead of real Ensolite. I'm guessing just to cut down on costs. Probably things weren't going well for Trillium at that time (80-81) and they went with this. I'm glad the 5500s (same years and similar wooden interior as the Jubilees) has regular Ensolite. At least the Jubilee being squarer I guess the new insulation will be easier to install than in a curved shell.

Yeah.. replacing the ensolite I think will be the death of me but I have been researching the crap out it. I am think about using some flooring underlayment (possibly cork foam) what do you guys think?

How is a bigfoot 17 insulated? Does it uses Ensolite?
Ensolite was used because it can adapt to the curvature of the rounded trailers, but since the Jubilee has a somewhat square shape, maybe it would be possible (and easier) to use some semi rigid panels to insulate and finish the interior instead of Ensolite.
I'm thinking maybe wood pieces glued inside the FG shell as backer, styrofoam insulation (or Reflectix?), with some paneling or maybe acrylic panels screwed to that wood. From what I read, Ensolite is not an easy product to work with.

So my mom suggested doing something like the Fiber Decor on the walls do you think that would be okay with the condensation. Also I want to call them to see what temp the glue holds till. Wall Texture|Beautiful wall texture
The thing I really wanted to place my ensolite with is rock wall thermal wall paper but you can only get it in the uk and I can't find a site to mail it here

So we did a little more work on the trill today... well my grandpa has been doing little bits everyday since it is parked out at his place. He has taken down the cupboards and re faced them (we still need to make new doors, I want the edges routered so they look "fancier") he also took the counter off top. We pulled the ugly carpet out. Also I pulled a lot of the stupid ensoliteish crap off the walls. And vacuumed every crevasse and cleaned the crap out of the floors.

Hey Marissa... If I come and park my Scamp at your Grandpa's house, do you think he would come and do a little bit of improvements on mine too? HAHAHAH
You are so lucky to have those extra, caring hands. Treat them well. And thanks for the progress pictures. They are good reference, no matter what brand of FB trailer you have.

Lol My Grandpa is the greatest. I just wish I could do more to help but it is parked about 30 mins from where I live and I am a new Mom so it makes it hard to get out there!

So. My grandpa has completed the cabinets (refaced and painted). We still have to do the cupboard doors which I bought some different catches and normal beautiful handles! We are also going to router the edges to make them look a little prettier. We also went to foam king and found some 1/4 inch closed cell foam at foam king. The cheapest option by far 26 ft by 5ft will hopefully do the whole inside, only cost me 220$. I also bought a few old curtain from value village that I am going to make in to smaller curtains for the camper. The fabric was already backed with a rubber backing! So nice! We also pulled the old fridge out to put the new beer fridge in but learned in the process of flipping the old one that the fridge works fantastic now!!! Yeah, luckily I only bought the small fridge for 10$ so I gave it to my grandpa to store his pops in the garage! Everyone won!

. I wanna use this kind of color scheme for the rv. Hopefully it will turn out. I am also adding a dark grey and black. I think this is the fabric I am going to use to reupholster the cushions!
